Now that the weather's getting really nice here in the Northeast, I've run into a dilemma. I walk to work most days since November when my office moved to within a half mile of my home. A Crown Hat from Fairy Tale Knits.

I thought the hat was adorable, but didn't like the "cross" pattern on top - too square. So changed it into a 5-petal flower. ( Pictures under cut )

So, I've started this hat, and it involves a new thing for me, wrapping and turning. The wrapping and turning is easy, figuring out which stitch to do it to is not. This is from the pattern:

Row 2 (WS): k to 2 sts from end, w+t.
Row 3: k to end.
Row 4: k to 1 st from gap, w+t.

so on row 4, would that be the 3rd stich from the end, or the 4th?

I'm working on this beret (Ravelry link). It starts on size 10 DPNs for the band, then switches to size 11 circs for the main part of the hat. However, when I start the decreases, it's going to get too small to keep knitting on the circs, obviously, but the pattern doesn't specify switching the needles.

My two daughters take tae kwon do at a family-owned dojong; the master's wife is pregnant with their third son and due next month. Hi everyone! I have a quick question about the Knotty But Nice pattern on Knitty.comI am just about to do row 15 of the chart and it says to omit those two stitches on the first repeat only... does that mean that I just slip those two stitches and only work them when I do the cable at the end of the last repeat? My youngest daughter loves to wear hats, so I decided to make her something that's a little less toasty than the winter hat she's been wearing inside for the last few days.
